The computer and the Internet world have come a long way since it first began more than twenty years ago. When computers were first rolled out for commercial use, people were used to monochrome screens and pages. I remember my first game console where it was simple to play and was set against a monochrome screen. All you had to do was move the cursor in order to play the game. It was simple, and if I would let kids play on it today, they would probably roll on the floor and laugh. But during my time, it was hip and I was one of the "in" kids who owned her own computer game console.

With the advancement of Internet technology and website designing, people can now see pages in full color. Games are also much more colorful, some even requiring users or gamers to have a high resolution video card or computer specifications. The movement of game characters are even made so that they look real. Website designing has indeed gone a long way from the monochrome pages that were first used and introduced with the personal computers.

With these improvements, people may need to also upgrade their screens or software. Even browsers such as internet explorer need to be upgraded in order to view some pages or components of a domain or web page. I remember having crashed my computer because of a web game application I had to download and install on my computer. It cost me a lot at that time to have my computer fixed. There are some online games that don't require you to use high end graphics cards for your computer, but it does require you to use the latest version of web browsers. Some of these free online game sites may be fakes, and even if the site will not require you tp pay for anything, you might get a lot of spam email instead. This is also one part of the tricky business of website designing where they will catch or get emails and bombard them with newsletters and advertisements.

Website designing is now a multi-million dollar industry and I know of some friends who work in this industry. They say that website designing is not easy since it requires them to be in touch with the latest trends available in the market in terms of website designing. Someday I would like to learn how to design my own website, but for now will be content as user.
