This story is about a computer class my oldest son Pier and his friends are taking. They want to learn how to be web designers so they are taking some computer courses through the summer. Pier and some of his friends work part time as web designers. He is so involved in learning about the computer that he tried his talent at being a programmer. His friends and he spend a lot time in the chat room discussing about being a programmer and how they want to be web designers. Pier spends most of his time dreaming about being a programmer, but he spends more time talking to his friends about them being web designers and being a programmer. I would love to be able to get into his computer and see what is all being said in the chat room. Being boys, I have no doubt of what the conversation is most of the time.

I was folding clothes one night and was getting ready to give him his folded clothes, and I was ease dropping. I heard him tell Josh go to chat room 4 so we can talk about what a programmer does. I have some ideas and want to run them by you first. Pier was talking about broadband, a programmer, a laptop, and a virus. It sounded like they were discussing their homework for that day during class. Talking about broadband, I had better call our internet server tomorrow. Pier said that broadband is a lot better than cable, but then in the chat room, some people preferred cable over broadband. My friend who lives in Canada has dsl, and she is very happy with it.

After hearing my son in a chat room and talking about things with the computer, I just might have him help me get into a chat room. It might help me learn a little more about the computer and maybe help cope with things in general in life. I decided to surf the net a little bit on my own and see what I could find out about broadband. I am thinking we have a company like that in the next town, but will have to do some searching in the phone book. Once again, I will just surf the net again to get some answers. Well, I hear Pier getting off the computer and I know he will want a snack before he goes to bed, after all that is what the future programmer will be asking me. Just think, Pier, the programmer.
