If you haven't already noticed, millions of people use the world wide web every day. From checking email to reading the newspaper, the world wide web has an important role in every day society. Millions of computer every day connect to the world wide web. Some people make a living from the world wide web. Jobs such as web site development have created revenue for many people.

Having a computer in the house is almost a necessity now. Millions of people all over the world use either a PC or a mac to communitcate with each other. Many people make a living using the computer. With the advancement of the pc, many jobs have been created. Millions of people rely on a pc in order to put food on the table.

Computers have come a long way since they first started. It is hard to imagine, but computers used to take up an entire wall. It's amazing that we now have computers so small, that we can carry them in our arms. Some people never dreamed that we would be able to carry around or computers. Another amazing thing to look at is the size of computer monitors and different types of media. Computer monitors used to be extremely small and could only produce a few colors. Now, we have monitors that are 30 inches in size and can display millions of colors. Floppy disks are a joke to what we have now. Most computer don't even have floppy disk drives anymore. At the very least, a computer will have a CD-ROM drive. 700 megabytes of storage used to look like a lot, but with the introduction of DVD's, 700 megabytes of space is almost laughable. With dual layer DVD's, we now have 8.5 GB's of storage on a single disk! Now with the introduction of blu-ray disks, people can hold over 50 GB's of storage on a single disk! We have come a long way since the introduction of floppy disks!

Computers play a major role in many peoples lives. Computers have truly changed that way that the world communicates and operates.
