I tend to depend on google often nowadays for my daily internet activities. I use google for its gmail, which in my opinion, is the best webmail. Sure, some complain about the amount of advertising on-line that gmail trashes on us when we log in. I do not complain. The same can be seen in other webmail providers too. There are advertising on-line to be seen when one logs into his or her hotmail and yahoo mail.

I like the simplicity of google search web site. The web site design is minimised to allow faster loading. This google page loads within one second. It saves time and allows users to proceed to their intention of visit immediately - to use the search engine. There is no advertising on-line on its main page. This is one of the few reasons the page loads fast.

I use google for many reasons. I am drawn to its free blogger. It has the famous google map. Google news is updated often enough to attract repeated visitors. Google also offers free web pages for those who are interested to host web sites.

I use google search engine to search and download certain audio and document files. I have compared its search results with other search engines such as Yahoo and MSN. I am more comfortable with the results produced by google search engine. It leads me to safe web sites where the files are kept. I download the files when I am sure there is no threat of viruses and trojans. One cannot be too careful with web sites nowadays. Google ranks the sites too. If a web site I am interested in is safe, there is a green tick, beside the link, to let me know that the site is free from viruses.

I create a special folder in my laptop to keep those downloaded files. To download, I usually use this method - right-click on the link and choose 'save'. By using such method, I avoid being directed to another page. I like this. I save my time as I do not need to click the 'back' button, which may take up a few seconds for the previous web page to reload. If each reload is 3 seconds, and I download 1000 files, I save 3000 seconds by sticking to my method.
